All my life (so far), I have heard of people being "as drunk as Cooter Brown".

In the early eighties, I moved to Texas, and was surprised to hear the same phrase used there. I had thought it was a local (Mississippi) saying.

Now, I ask. How far has this saying reached? Have you ever heard it? And, above all, who was Cooter Brown that he should gain such infamy?

If you have not heard this saying, do you have other/similar sayings that you have always heard?

Also, if you have not heard of Cooter Brown, spread it around! Let's make him a world renowned drunk!
