There has been a gradual loss of informal venues over recent years. The singing session used to be in the Bear but with changes of landlord etc that had to move and was able to go into the Rosie as the mixed session formerly run by Tom Gilmour and myself in the old bar came to the end of it's life. The Borough was lost when it was unavailable due to refurbishment a couple of years ago and the Irish session moved to the Old Road Tavern. There used to be a singaround in the skittle alley of the Black Horse years ago but I don't know why that died. Now the Angel has been refurbished it's not really suitable for the type of noisy mixed sessions we used hold in the evenings.

The Borough was dead on Sunday night and I think it can probably be reclaimed as a session if someone wants to go in and ask next year.
