Come on, now, Micca! The threads are a travesty. What relation do they bear to Child, to Captain O'Neill, to Lomax and Lomax, to Bunting, to Breathnach, to Sharp? To those proud stalwarts of the folk movement who gave their lives for the music they loved to collect and perform? The "satirists" in the Drumcree threads wouldn't know a hop jig from a five-hand reel or a strathspey from a schottische. For this reason you are wrong to condone their scurrilous behaviour. I feel as if my temple has been ransacked by the barbarian hordes. May God have pity on us all!
