There is a lot I agree with & a lot I don't agree with in this thread. It seems that most of you go to festivals to play, sing etc but no one has mentioned what we all pay for, & that is to see the Arists. I don't mind a little fringeing, but I primarily go to see the artists & listen to the music, go to workshops, watch the dance sides, go to a ceilidh, play a little, then get some sleep to enable me to do it all over again.
