GUEST,1st Guest Where's all the young folk? (55* d) RE: Where's all the young folk? 16 Jul 02

Susan, how could I have been more positive? I thought I WAS being positive! What is negative about the way I posted--I did it to get people's attention here. There have been a number of threads here in recent months about the lack of young people in folk music. I was calling attention to young people who ARE involved in folk music. I gave the web address, so people could have a listen for themselves. Short, sweet, and to the point.

Why are you making me out to be the bad guy here? Aren't the people who made the initial snide comments accountable for their so-called contributions to the thread?

And how can me giving a review be better than giving the web address where people can hear the group for themselves? And like I said, why all this judgmental stuff, but no comments on the subject of this thread--the great music of the Flying Folk Army?

Why not give a listen to the group, before criticizing young people with good intentions and motivations.

WHY WHY WHY are people here so hard on young folkies?
