During term time Chris McShane runs the Barnsley Junior Folk Ensemble on wednesday evenings at the Performing Arts Development Centre in Barnsley, S. Yorkshire. He has approx. 30 members from 6 years old upwards, playing guitar, fiddle, flute, mandolin, banjo, autoharp, mouth organ, bodhran and other percussion. They've played at Holmfirth, Clocks Back, Barnsley and Wath Folk Festivals, concerts all over the borough, Halifax Piece Hall, a tour of Scotland last year, one to the North East this Autumn. Chris will again be running the children's festival orchestra at Whitby Folk Week this year, for children of eight years upwards. Jay
