Jack's is indeed still there, at 254 Scott (corner of Scott and Page). You can also try the following: Aquarius records (one of S.F.'d oldest stores) at 1055 Valencia Street, Saturn records on College Avenue in the Rockridge area of Oakland (very nice area, short BART ride from the city), Groove Merchant at 687 Haight Street, and finally Open Mind at 342 Divisadero in S.F.

There is definitely a great selection out here and Jack's is probably your best bet for Folk. Amoeba and Rasputins are good, but more for the 60's and beyond. Though that is only my opinion.

Some of the best stores are hidden jewels in neighbourhoods though, I would just walk around the Haight, Western Addition and Bernal Heights to name a few good places. And of course the people at the above mentioned stores would have some ideas.
