There are, of course, other verses that can be substituted, depending on the crowd... "Don't you ever go to Madrid, the Judies there charge 50 quid, And they never wash, and they smell like squid, bonny hieland laddie" "Was you ever in London-town, the girlies there love to go down ... ... to port when ship's around, bonny hieland laddie" These verses are sung to a different tune than the Kingston Trio uses for this song. (These lines fit the pipe tune "Highland Laddie" a little better, though not perfectly.) They should, however, work in the KT's arrangement, with a little juryrigging. Enjoy! -J
