Tim Mayhugh, whose last known address was in Portland, died after being struck five times by shots fired by a Kittitas County sheriff's deputy. Authorities described Mayhugh as a pre-operative transsexual dressed in women's clothing and having shoulder-length hair. In 1980, he had asked to be called "Sarah".
