As we prepare for Gulf War II, let's bear in mind the suffering in Iraq from Gulf War I (Source: UNICEF) -- civilian death toll of 110,000 people -- 70,000 of whom were children under age 15 -- combined death toll of 500,000 people as a result of the war and economic sanctions in the last 12 years -- death rate for Iraqi children under age 5 doubled between the late 1980s and the late 1990s Also, if you have the stomach for it, check out the photos that did NOT make it onto CNN in "The Unseen Gulf War"
