Nice to see what the 'proper' festival was like after my first visit to Beverley for the brilliant 'Peoples Voice' Fringe-only Folk Festival last year. Shame about the ghost walk not happening as there were about 15 of us waiting - maybe next year. The only non-fringe event I attended was the final concert. Eliza Carthy etc very good, but I thought the sound was cranked up far too high for the Lindisfarne set. Stuffed rolled up balls of tissue paper in my ears but we gave it up as a bad job in the end as the hall was pretty hot too! Rest of concert good though. Julie B
