Thanks everyone, I'll follow up on the suggestions. The doctors did a nice job in stiching me back up, so there's no pucker or ridges, but I'm pale, so the big purple line really stands out (a friend called it "ya know, singing dinosaur purple"). It's healed but relatively new, so I figured this would be the time to tend to it.

Kim, 'covering it up' as in make-up! A friend suggested using foundation to cover the scarring, but what happens when you go swimming or sweat and it runs off? That would look even stranger!
