Will- enjoy your w/e, tho check how you are going to get to Kelvingrove as the Great Scottish Run or something is on, George Square via various major thoroughfares to finish in Glasgow Green.(Glasgow Ballad Workshop on 1-3pm, people having to work out travel/parking!)

I had a blood test Thursday, and I now have three days of poo-sample-taking (don't ask!)! Aaaahh, the joys of getting old!

Birthday today? Congratulations! We're celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary, also today, in a posh hotel in Glasgow. Ubiquitous Chip tonight, dinner in the hotel tomorrow after visiting the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, and dinner at No. 16 (Byres Road) on Monday after shopping till we drop in the City centre.

So 29th September signifies for us both!

All your good wishes have made me very very happy, thank you so much everyone.

That blooming nurse (she's actually lovely, but still...) took so much blood I reckon she's making Cannibal Black Puddings. I bet the tests come back 'anaemic'!

Having a great Birthday; the sun is shining and we've been to the big Tesco. Bought...er...crumpets... (to help keep me slim) and a 'sop to Cerberus' in the form of some fruit. It's lovely to be twenty one yet again.

Happy birthday and best of luck with the blood tests. A few years ago I had so many monitoring my recovery from sepsis, I thought there shpuld be a chair with my name on it in the local phlebotomy clinic!

I'm always very naughty and open any cards as soon as they arrive (birthday is actually tomorrow, 29th).
Many kind neighbours put cards through our door this morning while I was at the doctor's, and my sister's card arrived with the postman. Blooming hairy spider on the front, I nearly jumped out of my skin hee hee.

Blood tests are not the best of things for birthday presents but I can beat it. On my 60th I had a colonoscopy! They took an internal picture too which now has pride of place on the bookshelf. Makes an excellent talking point :-D

How very kind of you. I'm twenty one you know. (again)

My sister, the little monkey, sent me a card with a huge spider on the front. Husband produced a most beautiful card covered in flowers and glitter. He always writes a long, loving essay in French on the back, which always makes me happy.

One of the cats (Murphy) has been sick on the hall carpet, a true feline Birthday gift.

Unfortunately, I had to have several blood tests this morning at a local surgery, and the lovely nurse, Jayne, kept taking one ampoule after another until I reckoned I must be nearly empty, so I've had a nice long nap to recover.
