Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: GUEST,999 Date: 15 Jul 12 - 06:53 PM What has to be done is fairly simple. 1) Don't vote. 2) Don't respond to questions like "Why didn't you vote?" Face facts: with all the smoke and mirrors in federal politics today--starting with the one about how you have a choice--don't bother choosing. Let 'whoever' decide. When your system of government collapses as it is doing now, (that's the system that offers you a choice between two doors), pick door number three. Hey, one of the chosen parties will inherit the throne and a requirement of democracy will have been satisfied. Face facts: maybe when 50,000,000 people choose not to vote, some bright light will go 'ding' and wake up to the fact that they are leaders with no followers. All they will have to do then is dictate--but then they do that from day one of their election as it is. |

Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: Greg F. Date: 12 Jul 12 - 02:56 PM The TeaPublicans don't need to back ANYTHING up. They ain't got to show you no steenking FACTS! Romney is a jackass, but he's not an idiot. He knows he's lying out of both sides of his mouth at once. He just doesn't care, & holds the electorate in contempt. Which contempt is entirely appropriate for those who believe his bullshit. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: Bill D Date: 12 Jul 12 - 02:04 PM !Nonsense! That's a generalized **slogan** such as the Republicans use. If you accuse Obama of something as serious as "lieing without conscience" you need to back it up. Pundits do this almost everyday about Romney...the only issue is whether he lies to himself until he believes it, or KNOWS he is making false statements. (and don't give me crap where you take a different opinion about some situation and then define YOUR version as 'truth' and Obama's as a lie.) All politicians like to 'spin' the story and talk about their favorite issues in the most favorable way.... but just throwing 'lie' mud until some of it is accepted by anyone who starts off not liking Obama is a cheap way to go! |
Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: GUEST,Guest from Sanity Date: 12 Jul 12 - 12:27 PM It sounds like he's not as much as a pathological liar as Obama..who just lies without conscience, or thinking the truth is going to be revealed, sooner or later. Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: Jack the Sailor Date: 12 Jul 12 - 12:25 PM Not everything he says and does. Just the bit about knowing how to create jobs when his resume doesn't support that. And the fact that he keeps contradicting himself, which doesn't do much for his credibility. The religious fundies were criticizing his faith. The comedians are laughing at his lifestyle. You gotta admit that for a man claiming to be in touch with regular people some of his animal escapades are sad and amusing. The sensational corporate media is pointing out some odd behaviors from his past, like the bullying and impersonating an officer. But the Democrats are mostly sticking to the lying and flipflopping. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: Bill D Date: 12 Jul 12 - 11:28 AM Most of the media and many Republicans are criticizing everything Romney does....and it seems that **Romney** is not happy with anything he says, because he says something different before long. See.... the problem is twofold - one can either debate the specific details (if any details can be found) of some current position, or focus on his pattern of changing his positions as the wind blows. Makes it easy to criticize when he has no real position except 'wanting desperately to BE president'. |

Subject: RE: BS: Another Obama Whopper From: John P Date: 11 Jul 12 - 10:24 AM Bobert: "What you get from me is gleaned strictly from the Washington Post, The New York Times and the TV news" I wonder why Bobert would use such a faulty source? This sums up Sawzaw quite nicely -- mainstream news being seen as faulty. The advantage of mainstream news is that the mainstream news sources all agree about what actually happened in any given circumstance. They may not agree about what it means or about how to present the facts, but they all have the same basic facts. This is due to the fact that they actually check their facts and try hard to only publish things they can prove. The farther to the left or right you go with your news sources, the less general agreement there is. The only way we can agree about the details of a topic for discussion is to use the same set of facts. The only place to get facts that we can all agree on is by looking at multiple sources and seeing where they are in agreement. Just out of curiosity, Sawzaw, what do you consider non-faulty news sources? Why do you think so? Why do you think all the major daily newspapers are lying? What evidence of that do you have? Why should anyone pay any attention to anything you say, since you seem proud of dismissing the only sources of news that agree with each other? |
