i have been asked for the words to a song and all I have to go on are a few lines.They are

"....all of a sudden a dirty black pudding came flying through the air

it missed me mother and hit my brother......


What makes this so tantalising is that on hearing the words I could hum the tune and fit them in. I think it may be a music hall song but without a title I can't find a way to go further. I also think its so common that mudcatters everywhere will know of it and then I'll end up looking foolish.
On the other hand it could be a challenge.
