Subject: RE: BS: Any Bhuddists out there? From: Amos Date: 24 Feb 08 - 03:58 PM Buddhism does not have a Bible in the same sense that Muhammedism or Christianity do; for one thing it would kind of be a contradiction in terms. A |
Subject: RE: BS: Any Bhuddists out there? From: redsnapper Date: 24 Feb 08 - 03:52 PM Yes. Megan L has already mentioned the Tripitaka above. This site isn't a bad place to start for some sayings and quotes and provides further links to other sources. A lot of texts that are around comprise compilations of the sayings and teachings of Siddhartha Gautama (The Buddha) mixed up with interpretations and quotes from later commentators. All the best, RS |
