Subject: RE: PTH July Installment From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 17 Jul 03 - 06:31 AM Yep,sounds,familiar,John! it,looks,like,they,are,trying,to,say,your,rent,is exissivley,expensive. They,tried,this,with,me,a,few,years,ago, luckily,one,of,my,mates,is,a,Chartered-Surveyor! it,still,took,me,about,3,months,to,get,it,sorted,though. Your,rent,does,not,sound,exessive,[going,rate,is,about £300pcm] it,will,almost,,certainly,get,sorted,out,and,you,will,eventually get,all,the,money,you,are,owed. its,just,all,the,buearocracy,and,bullshit,that,you,dont,need ie,having,to,claim,income,support,to,make,your,money,up,to the,£55,or,whatever,it,is,nowadays. Anyway,surely,all,this,bullshit,must,cost,them,a,lot,extra to,administer,the,benefits? If,these,bastards,got,their,acts,together,they,could,pay, everybody,on,benefit,a,few,pound,extra. |
Subject: RE: PTH July Installment From: smallpiper Date: 17 Jul 03 - 06:21 AM Once again thanks for the advice jOhn - I've done that. I'm waiting on a reply from the bugers at East riding. Deanie dammn! |

I,no,longer,claim,any,state,benefits, but,know,from,experience,that,the,housing-benefit,people are,absolutely,blody,useless,and,work,at,a,snails,pace. Until,you,get,the,situation,sorted,it,is,worth,contacting, all,companys,you,owe,money,to[loans,credit,cards,etc] explain,the,problem,to,them,and,ask,them,tofreeze,the,interest and,offer,them,couple,of,quid,a,week,etc. good,luck.john |

Subject: RE: PTH July Installment From: smallpiper Date: 17 Jul 03 - 06:11 AM Cheers jOhn I've launched an appeal (did it straight away) phoned the buggers up and gave them hell. Emailed them straight after with the details of my appeal. Do you know what they said.... They can't do anything because decisions are made by an independant assessor who has visited the property and made calculations based on the size of the flat and the area it is in! No bastard has ever visited this flat thats for sure! However they will look at my appeal and consider it within the next 6 weeks, meanwhile I can apply for Income support. These people clearly have no idea about how additional stress like this can set a persons recovery back by months! Fooking bastards! Anyway Sorry to go on about this here but I just had to sound off! |

Subject: RE: PTH July Installment From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 17 Jul 03 - 05:56 AM John-Contact,DRAS. Get,an,appeal,in,at,Kenworthy,House,ASAP and,if,you,have,one,get,your, CPN/Keyworker,on,the,case. There,is,a,minimum,amount,that,you,should,get,to,live,on i,m,not,sure,exactly,but,im,almost,certain,its,around £55.a,week Also,contact,Sharon-Harvey (she,is,a,laywer,that,specialises,in,benefit,problems) I,dont,have,her,number,to,hand, but,she,can,be,contacted,through,Max-Gold it,wont,cost,you,anything,to,see,her,its,free. get,on,to,them,today,the,sooner,the,better. |
Subject: RE: PTH July Installment From: smallpiper Date: 17 Jul 03 - 05:34 AM I AM ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fooking stupid bastards who work for local gov are shits! Here's the tale.. I am on long term sick (stress related) and get an income of £64.35 per week (woopie) my rent on my flat is £74.59 per week they were paying it for me so that was nice and I was getting along ok. Now they've decided that they are paying me too much and have reduced my housing benefit by £21.22 per week leaving me with £43.13 to live on!!!!!!!! (sorry to go on about this here but it is music related in that I will no longer be able to afford to go to sessions) So tonight may well be the last PTH gig I go to for a while.
