Just heard the first episode on the car radio - brilliant, as always.

If I miss the next episode 'I'll thwceam and thwceam and thwceam 'til I'm thick!'

I think that he should have been the presenter of Countdown rather than Des O'Connor.

My favourite Martin Jarvis moment is in the Inspector Frost episode Fun Time for Swingers.

Jarvis plays this out of work actor/gigolo. He has been beaten up. He goes off to meet a policewoman who is who is a set up - posing as a client.

With a raise of his eyebrows Jarvis indicates and explains his bruised face, and says....'The slings and arrows of out-rageous fortune.....'.

Whatever insoucianct means - Jarvis absolutely nails it. He does it so beautifully and with such humour, I couldn't help but wonder if it were in the script - or if it were a line he had contributed.

'William' books should be compulsory reading for parents of ten-year-olds, so that they understand what is goimg to hit them when their child hits eleven.
