Any relationship to the Prideaux family who ran the Dove Inn in Sidmouth?

And welcome from the other side of the world. There's a lot of us with Cornish ancestors.
Do you know what instruments would have been played by the Prideaux family?
And will you eventually publish your research?
Robyn, with links to Padstow, Crugmeer and Trescowthick farm, Newlyn.

Welcome to Mudcat Crowdercref. Glad you joined after our phone conversation this morning. I can assure all catters out there that this guy really does know what he's talking about... add that to being a stunning fiddler, superb concertina player, brilliant songwriter, but more than all of that put together - a really good guy.

He's a very fine fiddler indeed, Sian. And a very good friend of mine, too. So yes, welcome on board ...ah, but should I use your name? Or would you prefer anonymity?

Anne

We have a new member who started off by notifying us of a new discovery in Cornish music in this thread and has now joined.

I'm looking forward to hearing a lot more about Cornish music, as one bit of my family (mum's dad's dad) were Cornish - from Mevagissy and Penzance.

Welcome to the madhouse, Crowdercref. (I take it you're a fiddler?)

sian
