Yes, some fast food like popcorn. Last year's and hopefully this year's Tee shirts of our festival. Also advance ticket sales.
Will know Wednesday evening the time factor. But I think it will be all afternoon and evening.

The event that were invited to is the St. Jean Baptiste party which here in Ormstown is mostly attended by us Anglo's. It will take place on June 23rd and we have been invited to participate. Now seeing as our Festival is July 27, 28 and 29th and money is needed to pay for musicians, tent, sound and so on, this is a great opportunity to aid our cause. Unfortunately we are not permitted to do alcohol sales, soft drinks, or light sticks. This is done by the Optimist club who are the organizers.

Ahhhh, fund raising is one thing but ***sponsorship*** is yet another... The real way to raise funds is not sellin' stuff but finding companies who want to get the good-will from promoting yer event... Unless, of copurse, your event is a "puppy burn"???

No, if your event is worthwhile and serves the community in a positive way then there are companies who would love to become sponsors as long as you put theie names on all your promtional printed stuff, advertisements and have a big banner at the event thanking them for their support...

Belive me, this works... Been there and done it... These companies are eager to give you money if your event is community oriented...

Guarenteed...

Depending on how much time you have to organize before this event, and depending on how much space you have in that booth and whether you want to go to the bother, how about having people donate music CDs, VCR movie tapes and DVD movie tapes and then sell them?

Now that some people have graduated to Ipods, they might have no further use for their CDs. Ditto with VCR tapes- or at least that's what my daughter tells me.

There is a statuary holiday coming soon and we (Festival Organizers)have been asked if we would like to set up a booth (Kiosk) to sell whatever to raise funds for our folk festival (Branches and Roots Music Festival).
This is a great opportunity as there is not fee and all profits would go to the festival.
Any ideas?
Sure would appreciate them.
