Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: Ron Davies Date: 03 May 07 - 12:46 AM Donuel-- Don't you also have RCN (AKA Starpower) in the DC area? We ditched Comcast about 3 years ago--haven't looked back. Admittedly we haven't asked about MLB. |

Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: Greg B Date: 02 May 07 - 10:37 PM All of that is true. But I've had Comcast cable modem for half a decade and more now. In that time, I've had perhaps two outages of less than an hour each. And they've just kept upping the speed until now it has reached the point of actual insanity. |

Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: Dickey Date: 02 May 07 - 09:37 PM Here we have Comcast and Millenium. They both charge the same. Them there is verizon FIOS. They still charge the ame price for TV. That is some serious Boss Hoggery. |

Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: Joe Offer Date: 02 May 07 - 08:54 PM Well, I haven't made a cent on my Comcast stock - I lost almost $5,000, in fact.... |

Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: Donuel Date: 02 May 07 - 12:09 PM Well I could always ask... Comcast dropped the NLB baseball channels. Only the dish network will have all the baseball channels this year. Comcast in hindsight has said they will stream some baseball games on the internet. oh how kind of them. |

Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: Rapparee Date: 02 May 07 - 09:26 AM It's hardly an evil monopoly, except where city councils voted it such. We have Cable One out here, with addtional options like Dish. Verizon also offers cable service. Why not ask your city council to change cable companies -- or to allow two to compete? |

Subject: RE: BS: Comcast customers From: GUEST,saulgoldie Date: 02 May 07 - 09:19 AM Comcast: another "evil empire." I thought there was supposed to be competition, and that that competition would keep prices in check. What happened to that? |

Subject: BS: Comcast customers From: Donuel Date: 02 May 07 - 05:44 AM Comcast (the monopoly cable company) has made more money than even our county and state legislature voted to allow. They owe an average customer about $200. They are currently telling people that they can have a free extra converter box for 18 months. After 18 months you are charged $8/mo This will gradually bring Comcast back to the upper limit of profit taking as prescribed by law. Imagine if every customer demanded cash instead. Lets see $200 X 3+ million customers... |
