Funnily enough Dai, that was the first Welsh I learned. The guy I shared with my first year at Cardiff was from Anglesey & told me it meant "Hello". Fortunately I found out what it meant before trying it out! That was in the early 60s, so tho' I've remembered some of the sounds I can't remember the spelling - as you've no doubt noticed! Roger (Old Saes- perhaps if I can find Posh Saes, Scary Saes and Sporty Saes I could form a new band!)

Shocker! The wall-banging scene was one of the most profound influences on me in my formative years. Having grown up in the seventies, I have a pathetic kind of nostalgia for it...
But you're right, it is quite a funny film...
Twll tyn pob Saes,
Dai

Ach y ffy! Sorry, Dai, But I've always thought it one of the worst (but unintentionally funny) films I've ever seen! From the unlikely start with a lone uniformed Scottish policeman (with a bad accent) piloting his own plane arrives disbelief is suspended! Funniest scene : Britt Ekland faking lone orgasm and banging on bedhead while Edward Woodward sweats next door. Totally predictable ending and no shock or horror (IMHO), Nos DDa

OK, some names from the credits: Ian Cutler, Bernard Murray, Andrew Tompkins... where are they now?

Just released, the soundtrack to 'The Wicker Man'. Great movie, good soundtrack (in parts).

I've often wondered what else Magnet recorded? They're credited on the video and soundtrack along with Paul Giovanni, but searches haven't got me anywhere.

A usually badly-informed friend once told me that they were in fact the Stigans of Torgas in all but name. Any more info?
