I got a good few people at my door tonight - the candles and pumpkin lantern indicate it's a good house for TorTing.

Unlike many of the adults around here, I dress up too. Tonight I was a pirate, preparing for our Pirates of the Caribbean Day or 'Drink like a Pirate' event to be held soon... as soon as the DVD of the third POTC film is out.

Note to self. Stock up on rum and eyeliner.

Kate (daughter) and her fella are going to do a flashlight tour of a building that used to be a hospital, then a geriatric care facility. It is now a 'secure self storage' building and his dad is the resident care taker.

LOTS of people have died in that building. I'm not going. I'll sit in the back room and 'meditate'. With all the animals inside.

Happy halloween.

We've put a pumpkin out with tealights in it and the kids who've come have all loved it. Ours looks a bit happier than that one - even though it has got some teeth missing.

You can find some websites with great ideas, so we're going to be more ambitious next year!
