Subject: RE: Cropton Brewery beer and music festival (UK) From: GUEST,Mark (Kind-of organiser) Date: 26 Feb 08 - 04:16 AM Hi All I've just been searching around and found this thread. I don't actually work at the New Inn but I'm involved with all the music up there. I take all the point re: the website - its not up to much so I'm gonna pass the message onto the chaps up at Cropton. We're organising a music festival for Sat/Sun 10th/11th May, with (I think) a wide range of Beers and Ciders available (a kind of mini-festival) so once I get the website updated I'll let you know whats happening! Cheers Mark |

Subject: RE: Cropton Brewery beer and music festival (UK) From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 13 Nov 07 - 04:04 AM I'm afraid that I don't have any inside information at all - all I know is from public sources. I would suggest ringing the pub itself but that might be a problem from the US. Does the website have an email address? Mind you, the website seems to be about a year out of date so they probably don't read their emails either! Roger |

Subject: RE: Cropton Brewery beer and music festival (UK) From: GUEST,US Ale Lovers Date: 12 Nov 07 - 06:43 PM Rog: (Or anyone else with info) Thanks for the info about the "pick up and drop off" service from Pickering on Friday, Sat and Sun nights. Do you know where the location is for this? Is there a schedule to be found anywhere? I have looked at the Cropton Webiste, but it is sorley lacking any good information. Any help would be appreciated! We are coming from the US for this festival and wondered how we could drink and NOT have to drive back to our hotel in Pickering at night. THANKS so much...... |

Subject: Cropton Brewery beer and music festival From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 07 Nov 07 - 07:47 AM At the New Inn Cropton, North Yorks weekend of 24th/25th november. The following from the Barnsley Camra website "Cropton Brewery Beer Festival Cropton Brewery is holding it's 13th Annual Beer Festival at The New Inn, Cropton on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th November 2007. With over 70 beers and real ales from all over the country and some continentals, it should provide the 'discerning' drinker with everything from the possibly weird to the absolutely wonderful. The variety of music should be just as varied with over a dozen acts performing everything from Blues, Skittle, Irish, Folk and Rock alongside more modern classics with acoustics sets in the bars and the bands in the heated marquee. With late licences applied for Friday and Saturday and an open jamming session organised for the Sunday, there must be surely something here for everyone. Although some limited camping facilities are available, a pick up and drop off service is running to and from Pickering on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Entrance fee is only £4.00 including souvenir glass and free pint {£3.00 CAMRA members} and we are hoping to make this to be the best beer festival yet!" I'll be there myself for the weekend R |
