Subject: RE: BS: New year resolutions 2008 From: gnu Date: 29 Dec 07 - 05:25 AM SINS' doc said.... "Lower my cholesterol; watch my salt intake; one glass of wine per week; increase fiber intake; lower fat intake..." One glass of wine per week? In that case, I would resolve to find another doc. S/He is obviously a quack. |

Subject: RE: BS: New year resolutions 2008 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 29 Dec 07 - 04:46 AM Limpit has resolved to finish her primus magnum opus. I'd rather she finished tidying her bedroom and the front room bits I've asked her to clear, but there we go.... I sort of resolved last year to finish at least one of my unfinished pieces of cross stitching. I did manage to put them all in one box, and I even finished one that had been going for about 8 years... I guess that will continue through this year too. But it wasn't a real resolution, just an 'I really ought to finish this stuff' thing. Honest. Not a resolution at all. Manitas's only Resolve is in the medicine cupboard and he's running low. LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: New year resolutions 2008 From: autolycus Date: 28 Dec 07 - 12:41 PM Depends how you word your resolutions. (I don't make 'em) if you say 'I must....';'I will....'; those are likely not to happen. if you say 'I want to ....', that improves the odds of you doing it. Ivor |

Subject: RE: BS: New year resolutions 2008 From: Becca72 Date: 28 Dec 07 - 10:58 AM I made one about 2 years ago to stay away from all the emotional vampires (they suck the energy right out of ya) in my life and it's worked well so far so I'm sticking with it. |

Subject: RE: BS: New year resolutions 2008 From: GUEST,LTS pretending to work Date: 28 Dec 07 - 10:21 AM Oh you bad girl, Sins.... how do you think they make JD in the first place... all that sugar turning to alcohol... after you with the bottle. LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: New year resolutions 2008 From: SINSULL Date: 28 Dec 07 - 08:07 AM My annual physical did not go well so my doctor made some resolutions for me. SIGH! Lower my cholesterol; watch my salt intake; one glass of wine per week; increase fiber intake; lower fat intake...I just realized that she never mentioned bourbon so I guess it's OK for me to imbibe regularly. So that's my resolution for 2008 - I will replace all previous fat, sugar and salt intake with Jack Daniel's (I know - it's sour mash not bourbon). |
