Subject: RE: No HTML in thread names please From: Joe Offer Date: 30 Jun 99 - 01:31 PM In other words, don't use commands that go in those angle brackets, like the <br> command. There are a couple of threads going now that have bold <b> type in the title. I think that might not cause a problem (although it may affect the Forum Search), but we're better safe than sorry and better off not using any HTML tags within thread titles. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: No HTML in thread names please From: Night Owl Date: 30 Jun 99 - 01:11 PM I guess if we have "Thought For The Day" we can have "Dumb Question Of The Day"....what does "NO HTML." mean?? for example??.......(I know...read the HTML thread!!! I will do my homework .....soon.....just want to check on ONE more other thread first...) Having quick read the HTML thread, I'm not sure I'd find an example of the problem there though. |

Subject: RE: No HTML in thread names please From: Joe Offer Date: 26 May 99 - 11:03 PM Hey, Andreas, I think Max has the quotes problem fixed. I put double quotes (") in a thread title, and they came out single (') - and searchable. Pretty nifty. Still, it's probably better not to tempt fate, so leaving the fancy stuff out of thread titles is a good idea. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: No HTML in thread names please From: Max Date: 21 May 99 - 01:10 PM Please do not use html code in thread names. It ruins the layout of the main threads page. Thanks. |
