Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Colin Randall Date: 05 Jul 08 - 03:11 PM Sorry LBK, couldn't resist it especially since we are on opposing sides in the Rachel Unthank debate (and not because I cannot see Belinda's huge talent) My first missing-the-glaringly-obvious moment for tonight was not spotting the typo in my first posting's spelling of Unthank My second was not realising that on the laptop I am using tonight, I would come up as an anonymous guest |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: Lord Batman's Kitchener Date: 05 Jul 08 - 02:56 PM was it glaringly obvious? I really wasn't paying that closer attention, having my granddaughter wanting attention, far more important |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST Date: 05 Jul 08 - 02:49 PM To be fair to Lord Batman's Kitchener - and make of that what you will, as he might put it himself if this was the Rachel Untchank thread - most of us have those missing-the-glaringly-obvious moments. |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Lord Batman's Kitchener Date: 05 Jul 08 - 02:00 PM Sorry, I'm not a mind reader |

Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,jane hogg Date: 05 Jul 08 - 07:27 AM Hi there, I've just put my opinion on another thread about rachel unthank & the winterset. I'm on Belinda's emailing list too - looks v interesting this new album with Eliza singing a song on it! She's got such a voice and with Belinda's writing skill, wow... Also looks like she's touring with Jackie Oates in the autumn - fab to hear them together again. JH |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: glueman Date: 05 Jul 08 - 05:06 AM Another fan of Belinda here, a real talent. Leave the ghetto behind BO'H you're a brilliant songwriter and performer. |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: the button Date: 05 Jul 08 - 03:59 AM That song "Whitethorn" does things to my insides, too. I'm on Belinda's e-mail list, and in the last one she mentioned working on a new solo album, with a range of people singing her songs -- Eliza Carthy among them. So I'm looking forward to that, so say the least. Hebden Bridge is a bit of a hike from East London, so won't be coming along, but have a good 'un. |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Noel Leeson Date: 04 Jul 08 - 08:17 AM I've been following Belinda's post Winterset career with interest as I would love to see her get the recognition she deserves as a great performer & songwriter - for me Blackbird and Whitethorn are my personal highlights off "The Bairns". I'm sure we'll be hearing much more from her in the future, in the meantime, I'm looking forward to her concert in hebden bridge. Anyone else coming along? |
Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Jenny Chapman Date: 03 Jul 08 - 03:11 PM Thanks for that, It looks like she's just got one gig in Hebden bridge in July which is a bit far for me to travel to. I'll have to wait until she hopefully comes down south! |

Subject: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Jenny Chapman Date: 03 Jul 08 - 12:58 PM Hello, does anyone know what Belinda O'Hooley, the ex-pianist in Rachel Unthank & the Winterset is doing now she's left the band? I used to really enjoy her contribution to the band and hoped she would be back on the circuit at some point. |
