Subject: BS: What a great mama cat! From: katlaughing Date: 12 Jul 08 - 12:03 AM From HERE For those who can do youtube, CLICK HERE A Dutch house cat has become the foster mom for an abandoned baby red panda. Gladys, the adult panda, rejected two cubs after they were born June 30th at the Artis zoo in Amsterdam. Intially the two cubs were in an incubator but the zookeeper's cat had just given birth to four kittens and allowed the pandas to join the litter. One of the pandas did not survive but so far the other one is doing well according to zookeepers. Red pandas usually grow to be only slightly larger than domestic cats and are an endangered species found mostly in the eastern Himalayas. |
