Nicely done!

I should have prefaced this thread with the warning that watching eagle nests via webcams can become addictive. One never knows what may happen. What next? Will a nest be invaded by a VW?

Now it's too late!

I note that the current banner ad reads "Premium Lot Eagle's Nest: Price recently reduced Lot 52 Eagles Nest, Fountain Hills." How appropriate!

Can't you people in California afford to feed the deer on Catalina Island? Must they eat the leavings found in an eagle's nest? Must they survive on molted feathers and dried eagle poop? Has it come to that? Or is this some sort of new-age deer diet?

I thought no one would ever ask!

The eagles that live on Catalina Island pick rocky crags rather than trees for their nest sites, and this nest evidently is deer accessible.

An alternative explanation would be the wings on the little deer that you may have overlooked ("Don't stand underneath as they fly by!").
