Subject: RE: BS: Not a 'true threat' to Obama From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 27 Aug 08 - 01:37 PM Assassinations are very often carried out by people who can reasonably be described as nuts. Especially in the case of assassinations of American presidents. I think the notion that avoiding talking about such matters somehow reduces the likelihood of the happening smacks of magical thinking. |

Subject: RE: BS: Not a 'true threat' to Obama From: Charley Noble Date: 26 Aug 08 - 08:35 PM It is the kind of story that only encourages more nuts. So far the story's not getting a whole lot of play in our usually prurient media. Charley Noble |

Subject: BS: Not a 'true threat' to Obama From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 26 Aug 08 - 07:33 PM "Police say they found two high-powered rifles, two wigs, camouflage clothing, a bulletproof vest and two walkie-talkies in the truck." That's a much better assassination kit than Lee Harvey Oswald or Sirhan Sirhan had... But "Authorities say three men who triggered an assassination investigation after their arrests in the Denver area did not pose a "true threat" to Barack Obama at this week's Democratic National Convention." Cross your fingers... |
