Thanks to everyone for the comments.

Yeah, Peace, Beer's right - not only were no bets lost, but I'm almost willing to bet that all bets are off this next time round with the addition of Marion Hossa to the Wings. I certainly take no quarter when it comes to the Red Wings and the Fighting Irish, but it's always respectful.

Thanks to Sandra and bobad and Mr. Harrison, too - we may have some genes crossed in there somewhere; thanks also to Nigel, Sharon and Leadfingers.

Big Mick, Jed has mentioned you several times in conversation and it's all good; hopefully we we'll be able to get together along the way and sing a few songs - thanks for chippin' in. I'm anxious for hockey season to start and the Irish strap it on this week, so things are looking up coming out of the post-hockey-doldrums.      Go Irish and Go Red Wings.

Beer - always good to hear from you - we'll be getting that hockey
thread going prett soon now. I take a look at the message above if I can figure out how to do it - haven't been there yet, but we'll get it.

There's three of us, and last I checked, I was still sipping some mighty fine Jamers, won from the last gobshite that bet against my Wings. And here's the real kicker. In addition to being a great musician (who has also accompanied Jed Marum, my fellow Beef Brother along with Paul Mills), this fine lad is also a fan of God's own football team, known to you mere mortals as the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
