Ebay sellers. as a whole, must be a cut above!

I have bought a variety of material, for several years, and only one seller misrepresented his material.
A couple of honest errors, cheerfully rectified.

It should be noted that the four sites (> 4,000,000 total + feedbacks) does require the employment of approximately 200 people; so it's really a pretty big business. I don't know that there's much significance to "20,000 positives per employee" but it's another way of looking at it.

The article says second place goes to someone with a mere 750,000 points - a CD/DVD distributor.

I have a number of silver certificates. Some of them uncirculated. They seem to go for a fairly standard price, but I wonder if I found a nice little display case for each, if that would help push the price up?

We've all sorts of stuff on at the moment including a load of singles and LP's we got given, books (mainly old ones) and some of my hand made jewellery. It has come from a wide variety of sources.

We usually put stuff on twice for 7 days to give the 'haverers' a second chance.John always insists that the postage is as low as he can make it.

Since my jewellery tend to be unique I'm hoping people are starting to look for Christmas pressies since the starting price is very cheap.

eanjay, I'm going through a few items and researching their recent sales. I think the eBay folks must be noticing some shift in sales and listings, but I haven't gone looking for an analysis.

I have things that would be good gifts, collectibles that are easy to ship and relatively modestly priced. I have to pull them together this weekend and get the photos and write-ups ready. I want them listed by Thanksgiving so when people lean back in their chairs after that big dinner they can take a glance at eBay to begin their holiday shopping.

Meanwhile, there is no activity on my listings. "My eBay" page looks positively deflated until I list some new items.

Yes, SRS...the tip is the dumpster. And he sells mostly ladies bras...other stuff too, but mostly bras. Usually rather large sizes. Amazing.

I'm at a big 75. I haven't been selling since March. The items I try and sell are old hard cover books but with the high expense in shipping folks don't seem to want to buy as much.

Today we've reached our 1000! They've all been positives although when ebay kicked off a new buyer it did lower the count :-(

Congratulations, skipy!! I am at a measly 32, I think it was. Must get serious about it, I think.:-) SRS is right, they've got new ways to contest the old negatives and getting rid of them. I had one which kept me from 100%; I'd won a small auction but they had the wrong email for me, so I ever knew about it. The seller posted the neg. I finally saw that and posted an explanation. Years later, I contacted the seller to try to resolve it, at ebay's suggestion. Turns out the seller hadn't been there in years, no answer, so they finally removed it. I am 100%, at least, even though my numbers are low.:-)

Sell loads of bits of junk, each one will cound as a plus & your feedback should come back up, it is a long process but the only way to get back to 100%

I had one negative from 11 years ago when I sold "drawer of kitchen junk". The person complained they wern't all sterling silver.
That negative is still there giving me a 98%

Mostly I sold violins and cellos.
