Subject: RE: Chris Birch - Help, please From: katlaughing Date: 04 Jan 09 - 02:07 PM Looks as though he's been having a lot of fun, including playing viola at a Beatles Tribute Concert. Also, if you go to THIS PAGE and use your Control "F" key, type in "Birch" and hit enter, it will take you to a comment made by a Chris Birch with an email addy which might be the right guy. I also found a reference to "local rock legend, Chris Birch's daughter" who is a violinist. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chris Birch - Help, please From: The Borchester Echo Date: 04 Jan 09 - 10:22 AM Don't know what this is doing in the basement. I'm sure Roy Knowles would have better luck if this were posted upstairs . . . Chris Birch was Peter Bellamy's brother-in-law, a very fine violin player who pwas involved in many of PB's recordings and also on occasion with the Silly Sisters. I know no more than that he now lives in Luxembourg but I'd imagine Tony Hall, the melodeon player, might have a better idea. |
Subject: BS: Chris Birch - Help, please From: Royk Date: 04 Jan 09 - 06:48 AM I used to sing with Chris at a folk club we ran together at the Ring o' Bells in Warrington back in the late sixties. Last time I saw him was when he sang at my wedding in 1969. I have been trying to re-establish contact with him recently but with little success. Pete Carthy told me Chris lives in Luxembourg. If anyone reads this and can contact him please ask him to get in touch with me at royk@waitrose.com. Many thanks Roy Knowles |
