I have to say that nothing he and Cheney did or tried to do surprised me one bit, nor did the media and Congress' complicity surprise me. Thank goodness for the internet. I think that is what has saved us from a permanent neocon presidency and Congressional majority.

Hmmmm.... Bush "elected"... 9/11 by Saudis... OBL a member of rich Saudi family... Bush and Saudis connected... Bush takes out Saddam who has fourth largest standing army in world and lots of WMDs... WMDs are never found... OBL in Afghanistan, next to Pakistan, who has WMDs and is not freindly with India who is friends with England who became friends with Syria after the Iraqui WMDs were not found...

Need I go on?

GWB pardons OBL? Sounds just about right. Maybe a new soap opera? As the World Tourniquets?

I expected to click the link and see The Onion logo at the top of the page, not the Huffington Post.

This is clearly a joke, and while parody and sarcasm are not completely out of place in an opinionated-but-basically-factual context like HP's, the writer should have been a little more explicit in explaining that he was just kidding.

That said, I enjoyed the piece ~ especially the bit about William Kristol, W's adoring lapdog apologist to the very end!

What is true however is that one week ago Bush was speaking of terrorists and Obama's respondsibility in dealing with them, but got his setence construction so confused that it sounded like he said that he wished the terrorists well.

He also invented the word shruck last in MD.
