Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: CarolC Date: 24 Jan 09 - 09:33 PM I have to say that nothing he and Cheney did or tried to do surprised me one bit, nor did the media and Congress' complicity surprise me. Thank goodness for the internet. I think that is what has saved us from a permanent neocon presidency and Congressional majority. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Charley Noble Date: 24 Jan 09 - 09:14 PM Carol- Even I did not anticipate all that Bush would try to do when he stole the election in 2000. If only one could roll back history! Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: CarolC Date: 23 Jan 09 - 10:10 PM I see it all so clearly now... |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Charley Noble Date: 23 Jan 09 - 09:49 PM gnu- It's really much simpler than that. The Bin Laden family made an immodest donation to the GWB Library. You read it first here. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: gnu Date: 23 Jan 09 - 05:06 PM CC... (CD? What?) "Anyone who could read this bit and not know it was satire has an interesting mind indeed..." Hmmmm.... Bush "elected"... 9/11 by Saudis... OBL a member of rich Saudi family... Bush and Saudis connected... Bush takes out Saddam who has fourth largest standing army in world and lots of WMDs... WMDs are never found... OBL in Afghanistan, next to Pakistan, who has WMDs and is not freindly with India who is friends with England who became friends with Syria after the Iraqui WMDs were not found... Need I go on? GWB pardons OBL? Sounds just about right. Maybe a new soap opera? As the World Tourniquets? |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: CarolC Date: 23 Jan 09 - 01:36 PM Anyone who could read this bit and not know it was satire has an interesting mind indeed... Kristol sucked his thumb for a few minutes, lost in thought. He was then distracted by a brightly colored piece of string. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Charley Noble Date: 23 Jan 09 - 11:12 AM I suppose I could have prefaced this post more explicitly, but isn't this the BS area? I did enjoy the satire. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Little Hawk Date: 22 Jan 09 - 02:36 PM Now they should do one where Bin Laden pardons Bush...and the Iraqis say "All is forgiven! May Allah bless George Bush and reward him for all he has done for us." |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Rog Peek Date: 22 Jan 09 - 02:34 PM Still, you wouldn't put it past him if the price was right. Rog |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 22 Jan 09 - 02:03 PM the writer should have been a little more explicit in explaining that he was just kidding. Perhaps a big flashing sign saying "Do not worry - this is a JOKE!!!" |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: PoppaGator Date: 22 Jan 09 - 12:35 PM I expected to click the link and see The Onion logo at the top of the page, not the Huffington Post. This is clearly a joke, and while parody and sarcasm are not completely out of place in an opinionated-but-basically-factual context like HP's, the writer should have been a little more explicit in explaining that he was just kidding. That said, I enjoyed the piece ~ especially the bit about William Kristol, W's adoring lapdog apologist to the very end! |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Donuel Date: 22 Jan 09 - 12:30 PM What is true however is that one week ago Bush was speaking of terrorists and Obama's respondsibility in dealing with them, but got his setence construction so confused that it sounded like he said that he wished the terrorists well. He also invented the word shruck last in MD. "Condi Rice and Dick Cheney are the finest people to ever serve their nation and have never shruck their duty" |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Amos Date: 22 Jan 09 - 10:11 AM IT's a dripping parody, man! A |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush Pardons Osama bin Laden From: Rapparee Date: 22 Jan 09 - 08:58 AM It's an Internet joke that's been around for a little while. Check Snopes. |
