The Royal Bank of Scotland is promising to pump £1.7bn worth of mortgages into the Scottish housing market over the course of the coming year.

Oh, and what about England, where most people are footing the bill to keep RBS going, and are in exactly the same boat.

We are a right load of suckers in England.
