I think the "teenager" comment was Henry Allingham (our oldest man, a Jutland survivor) who achieved his aim on June 6th this year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Allingham

For those who don't already know, Harry's story appears in "Last Post", compiled by Max Arthur from interviews with the (then) last 21 British veterans of WW1(isbn 0-3043-6732-X).
