I dabbled in Singapore when Seletar Sailing Club helped organise a Power Boat regatta at Pongoll Boatel a LONG time ago ! What they didnt tell us was that 'our' boat had been sabotaged and sank within yards of the start line , so we did and Impromptu Clown Boating routine in front of the Stands , which at least kept the punters amused while the race was out of sight ! Ah Happy Memories of being young and out in The Warm ! |

Subject: BS: Dragon Boat Racing From: Nick E Date: 21 Jun 09 - 12:41 AM I was in one today. At a very low level of the competitive scale, every team a novice. The fastest boats were 58 sec or so for 200 m. My team was 6th of 8 teams, best time 63 + seconds. We were dragon ass! |
