Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: gnu Date: 07 Aug 09 - 07:19 PM You meant "linky", right? As in snack on em like sausage dogs? The Huskies, right? Please tell me you meant Huskies and linky. I cannot imagine... even in Sudbu... oooo |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: 3refs Date: 07 Aug 09 - 03:12 PM I'm not sure about that one. In Sudbury, the men are men and the Huskies are nervous. They could get real kinky with them little dogs! |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: gnu Date: 07 Aug 09 - 02:10 PM Maybe you could start the Idacheraud. From Blind River to Sudbury. A grueling month long sled and the winner gets a nickel. |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: gnu Date: 07 Aug 09 - 12:40 PM They have a machine to play with their balls. |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: Little Hawk Date: 07 Aug 09 - 12:02 PM Okay. But I'm worried that the Dachshunds may feel they're being ignored. ;-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: Little Hawk Date: 06 Aug 09 - 06:51 PM Why in the world did anyone bring up Susan Aglukark in the first place? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: maeve Date: 06 Aug 09 - 06:34 PM Yes, 3refs, I see the problem. None of us posted the conflicting info though, so I'm not sure what we can do about it. I expect that the singer herself could clear it up if you were to contact her. Have a good evening, maeve |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: Little Hawk Date: 06 Aug 09 - 06:22 PM Good lord, Amos, that is just an incredible performance. Very beautiful, very moving. How the heck did we morph from a video about a dachshund catching machine thrown balls to Susan Aglukark to this? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: 3refs Date: 06 Aug 09 - 05:55 PM "Susan Aglukark is an Inuk singer/songwriter with 6 albums to her credit." That's from her web page! |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: GUEST Date: 06 Aug 09 - 03:21 PM It's on the Youtube link Kat. Christina |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: maeve Date: 06 Aug 09 - 03:20 PM The You Tube cut used the term, kat. I was puzzled too, until I waited half an hour for a fraction of the page to load. Gnu answered the question well, I think. The two groups of Native cultures (amazingly diverse from region to region across Arctic lands, North, Central, and South America) are generally considered to have different backgrounds while sharing many cultural issues. It's more a point of accuracy than anything in the thread being affected by the question. The bit I heard sounded beautiful, which was what gnu was wanting us to hear. Thanks, gnu. Now, can't you find anything more with which to entertain LH? maeve |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: gnu Date: 06 Aug 09 - 01:27 PM A long way to go, but.... MUSH! |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: gnu Date: 06 Aug 09 - 01:23 PM Well, 3, that is a fine line. Innuit (Inuk) may be considered Natives of America. Of course, the term "Native American" is now not PC... Native Peoples or First Nations or... The same could be applied to me being called "dirty Inukshuk" by an eldery Innuit woman (again, it varies) in Makkovik, Labrador. One of the meanings of Inukshuk is "not Inuk" and the term was sometimes used to denote "white man" or Innu. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: 3refs Date: 06 Aug 09 - 12:49 PM Hmm! Not to offend anyone, but Susan Aglukark is an Inuk from Canada. To be honest with you, I don't think that's the same as Native American? |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: katlaughing Date: 05 Aug 09 - 10:27 PM Thank, maeve. gnu, I think that deserves a thread of its own, up top. She's got a beautiful voice AND much more of interest on her website and on myspace. Thanks for the link! |

Subject: RE: BS: Little Hawk... balls to your dog From: Little Hawk Date: 05 Aug 09 - 07:25 PM LOLOL!!! I love it! That machine is exactly the thing to keep a bored dachshund busy and in great shape. Note that the dog in the video is greying around the muzzle, but he's still slim and active. He's a veteran, showing the best qualities of the breed. |
