Subject: RE: BS: Hannity's Freedom Alliance a scam? From: GUEST Date: 20 Mar 10 - 07:16 AM Well, their program/administration expense ratio is slightly above 4:1, which isn't great...but it's better than many. On the other hand, any organization founded by former Lt. Col. Ollie North gets nothing from me. |

Subject: RE: BS: Hannity's Freedom Alliance a scam? From: Greg F. Date: 19 Mar 10 - 10:11 AM Hannity himself is a scam, as is his show. Why shouldn't his "charity" be? |

Subject: RE: BS: Hannity's Freedom Alliance a scam? From: Ebbie Date: 19 Mar 10 - 09:45 AM An "axe to grind"? Politically she is on the same side as Hannity, is she not? I read the article; if this is true, it is not the last we'll hear about it. Or at least I hope not. |

Subject: BS: Sean Hannity's Freedom Alliance a scam? From: Amergin Date: 19 Mar 10 - 02:22 AM I wouldn't be surprised if it were...but according to right wing blogger Debbie Schlussel it is. While she certainly does have an axe to grind, it appears she did the research before making her claims. The freedom alliance is a "charity" that donates money to wounded veterans, and scholarships to the children of slain soldiers. However, the money they dole out is rather paltry, especially with the millions they bring in from donations, concerts, and various assets. By the tax returns the vast majority goes for "expenses"...including postage expenses of over a million dollars. Her blog article is here. Her article also links to several tax returns filed by the organisation, and they do look rather damning. |
