Due to a cancellation and our inability to go due to my sons A levels, we have a weeks holiday in a 5 star luxury lodge in Brodick on the beautiful Isle of Arran available at less than half it's normal price because of short notice etc. It sleeps 6-8 with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms and there are leisure facilities with swimming pool, gym, aromatherapy etc and good restaurants as well in the hotel.

Available: 22 May 2010 - 29 May 2010 - ie TWO WEEKS TIME

There is some information here and more information on the hotel/country club web site - Auchrannie Country Hotel

The accommodation is lovely and there are fine views around and plenty to do. Great for walking, cycling, sightseeing and birdwatching (at least two pairs of Golden Eagles on the isalnd that can easily be seen). There are seven golf courses as well and a distillery.

Last year the week rented for £1350 but we are happy to accept £600 which should make for a reasonably priced weeks holiday for 6 in excellent surroundings.

There is music on the island - I usually go to a session at the Ormidale on a Sunday when I'm up. Unfortunately it doesn't coincide with Arran folk festival (5th June week) but I did notice that if you stayed for an extra night on the 29th May that DOUGIE MACLEAN is playing at the Lamlash Community theatre that night which is making me wonder how important A levels really are in this day and age :(!

If anyone is interested PM me or leave some contact here and I can give you any information you may want. I realise time is short but who knows?
