Old Dude, I made that same bear for a nephew many years ago - early 70s) but don't think it survived. Very sweet to see Dominick enjoying it.

my gram made my daughter a bear when she was born. at 33 my daughter still has it on her bed at night. now my grandson has it next to him as she gave it to her son

Apparently contact with cool air triggers the "squirt gun". They make little cap things that go on top of it, to absorb moisture. I don't know how well they work, considering a condition a friend of mine calls "veusvius bladder".

My sister's partner's daughter had a little boy. I was invited out for the barbecue to celebrate the baby's birth and his mother's graduation from high school, and found myself in charge of the three a.m. diaper change and bladder refill for several nights. The kid had a good apetite, and I was happy to give him two bottles, and consider what the next change was going to be like.

50 years ago, I had to diaper a girl.... almost 30 years ago, I had a boy. I assumed the trajectory would be more dangerous, and planned accordingly... never got hit seriously....

Picked up my daughter--who made me a grandfather on MAY DAY, God bless her soul and timing--who as so happy to see me she peed on my shirt. She was about a year at the time. NEVER pick up excited kids who are NOT wearing diapers.

Well, I haven't done such a thing since diapering involved pieces of cloth, safety pins and a big smelly bucket...and we also had girls.

that pee pee tee pee puts the concept of trouser tent into a whole nuther perspective.

I just kept a baby wash cloth to hand and covered up the little wee-er before the cold hit it. There is a trick to diapering.

Wait until he figures out how to undo the adhesive tabs. You don't really have to wrap around the waist of diaper with black electrician's tape as my brother did when he baby sat my daughter Andie. She was a Houdini. I even had to put button front tops on her backwards.

Just turn the diaper around backwards so the tabs are in the back.

Well meeting my new grandson for the first time last weekend I decided I would pitch in and help out ... well you see, I only had girls ... my brother had girls, my sister had girls. A boy is something new in my family.   So I am going to change the diaper on the little critter. Everything went well except male babies you see have this tool, and it is loaded .. you got it ... nailed me right between the eyes ..
LOL ...

My first introduction to baby boy diaper changing ...LOL. It was much safer changing baby girls ...
