Subject: RE: BS: Blue sky in New Brunswick? From: gnu Date: 09 Aug 10 - 06:00 AM We don't have it as bad as down south, but we are not used to it here as it doesn't last anymore than about 6 weeks a year. So we are allowed to complain just as much. |

Subject: RE: BS: Blue sky in New Brunswick? From: gnu Date: 08 Aug 10 - 05:12 PM We have had "fall looking" clouds the past few days. Very pretty. And the temps are waning somewhat. 32 on Thursday, but when the sky is clear it drops to the low 20s. |

Subject: RE: BS: Blue sky in New Brunswick? From: gnu Date: 08 Aug 10 - 02:46 PM Mum, 83, remarked today that she had thought of saying to my cousin, "Of course. You're in God's country now." But, me Mum is a l'idy, she is. |

Subject: RE: BS: Blue sky in New Brunswick? From: Ebbie Date: 08 Aug 10 - 02:39 PM That's a pretty sky, all right. The most unusually pretty sky I have seen was in Idaho. Reminded me of gelatin; there seemed to be layer upon layer of luminous blue that let one's eye go deeper and deeper ad infinitum. |

Subject: RE: BS: Blue sky in New Brunswick? From: Ebbie Date: 08 Aug 10 - 11:33 AM Yes, sweet but sad post. It is too bad what we humans get ourselves used to. When a child, a relative of mine when she tasted the water in Michigan after living in North Dakota said, I don't like it! It doesn't smell. (North Dakota water is alkaline and has a definite smell.) |

Subject: BS: Blue sky in New Brunswick? From: gnu Date: 08 Aug 10 - 10:18 AM My cousin and her 14 year old daughter were here from 10PM Thursday until this morning from New Jersey. The main purpose of their trip was to visit my uncle who is soon to get a serious slice & dice in Halifax. They visited Mum and myself yesterday. She said that they could not get over how blue the sky is here. Her daughter had called her to the window Friday morning in awe. I said, questioningly, "You don't have the same sky down there?" Each replied at the same time, "No!" My cousin, who hasn't visited Moncton since she was a young girl, also remarked that she didn't remember how absolutely beautiful the sky is here and how fresh the air is. Her daughter raved about the countryside and said she wanted to come back and spend time at the shore. She couldn't get over the beaches and actually swimming in the ocean. I could easily put 5 of my bungalows in her house, but I'd miss my sky. |
