There are other articles online about the stresses in wooden joints and the likelihood of an ark that size holding together unless made with joints of types not thought to have been known when the original ark was built (if it was built).

Do you wonder if the guy that built the ark stood back and scratched his head when he saw how much room the elephants and giraffes took up? How did Noah fit all those animals in there?

One suggestion: There were very few animals back then and today's diversity is the result of evolution working on those animal that survived the flood.

Ha, we had the Ark they built for that awful sequel to Bruce Almighty, that was fun, and all the animals as for some reason bringing giraffes and elephants and lions, oh my, to Central VA was cheaper than the computer would have been?

Yeah, it's pouring here, and has been for intermittent days, but hey, we do need the rain. It just needs to space itself out a little...

And we had all that snow last winter! Wonder if this is the new weather pattern thing. We did not have torrential fall rains, though, so maybe next year it'll be torrential summer rain, then spring, then snow again...

Randy Newman wrote a great song about a Mississippi flood. We may need one about the floods coming to the east coast since some areas are getting over a foot of rain.
The weight of 15 million tons of elephants is falling as the clouds are releasing water drop by drop.
