A tragedy for sure, especially to her family and friends. however, an editor is an artistic voice of their own and are much underestimated people outside of the film/tv world. No doubt Sally Menke will be a huge loss to Tarantino, but it might not hurt a director/writer of his talent to be taken out of his comfort zone. Then we should really see what he is made of. I suspect it might be pretty good. |

From: Mrrzy Date: 30 Sep 10 - 02:19 PM Sally Menke, who edited every single one of Quentin Tarantino's great movies, died apparently hiking in 118F/48C weather. What will he do now? He worked so closely with her that his actors would say Hi, Sally, after bloopers. Can you imagine Pulp Fiction with *any* changes in the editing? |
