What a weak excuse from Graeme Swann.

Having been drinking on his birthday, he gets stopped and tells the police that he needed to get a screwdriver from the local supermarket, so that he could release his cat stuck in the floorboards in his £350000 house.

Now I happen to think that Graeme is a great cricketer and like him a lot, but his brains were not in his head that night. Surely he could have afforded a taxi, or even asked one of his neighbours.

Anyway, as much as I like him, I hope he gets hit hard by the judge. There is no excuse for drinking and driving.
