Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: akenaton Date: 21 Apr 11 - 02:12 AM Grow up! Fascists come from all parts of society Right,Left and as I have said before, mostly from the centre. The need to curtail real freedom is common to all political creeds, especially "liberals" |

Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: Joe Offer Date: 20 Apr 11 - 09:54 PM Sounds spooky to me. It seems to me that if it's wrong for the other side to use dirty tricks, it's wrong for "our side" to use dirty tricks, too - even though we may thing our cause is the right one. We have directories of convicted sex offenders in California, and even that often turns into a witch hunt - but to identify the residences of people because they belong to a political party? That's scary. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: Owen Woodson Date: 20 Apr 11 - 03:03 PM Max:- I don't intend using the information other than for ascertaining whether I've got any fascists living near to me. Ian Mather:- As Gerry pointed out the far right have their own dirty tricks department, in the form of an Internet site called Redwatch. It is composed almost entirely of photographs of anti-fascists, environmentalists, liberals, and anyone else the fascists dislike. Not infrequently the photographs are captioned with names and addresses of the people in them, together with invitations to pay them a visit. In one case, of which I have personal knowledge, a local trade union official nearly lost an eye on his own doorstep after being made the subject of such an invitation. He has since had further threats, which have resulted in armed police being stationed outside his home. As far as legitimate political parties are concerned, I would be totally opposed to tactics such as those used by BNP Member Proximity Search. But the BNP is not a legitimate political party. It is composed of a hard core of violent nazis, thugs, racists and white supremacists. Eg., here's a link to an article in yesterday's Independent If anyone like that is living anywhere near me, I want to know about it. |

Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: GUEST,gerry Date: 20 Apr 11 - 01:03 PM Of course BNP supporters and other British fascists and racists are collecting information on anti racists, socialists, social democrats, trade unionists and others who have had the temerity to attend anti fascists rallies and meetings or who have spoken out about the far right. The information they have collected via photographs and newspaper reports etc has been posted up on a disgusting fascist website called Redwatch. Gerry |

Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: Musket Date: 20 Apr 11 - 09:45 AM So long as right minded well adjusted people know where the scum live. But what if the scum had the right to know where the right minded well adjusted people live? And what if the scum were in charge and called themselves right minded well adjusted? No matter how distasteful, no matter how much of a danger to democracy, no matter how much they are rightly vilified, this stoops to the level they would perform at if they were in charge. Which makes it wrong. |

Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: Owen Woodson Date: 20 Apr 11 - 07:25 AM It uses the 2009 list as well, but yes, it is out of date. But it's better than nothing. |

Subject: RE: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: Jack Campin Date: 20 Apr 11 - 06:51 AM It's about three years out of date. |

Subject: BS: BNP Dirty Tricks Campaign From: Owen Woodson Date: 20 Apr 11 - 06:02 AM I have just come across a very useful facility which British based catters might want to avail themselves of. It is something called BNP Member Proximity Search , and it enables people to ascertain whether there are any BNP members living in their neighbourhood. Since the BNP has a large number of violent criminals among its members, to say nothing of would be terrorists, I consider that this site constitutes a valuable piece of public service. |
