Subject: RE: BS: Another finance quake.... From: Bill D Date: 27 Sep 11 - 01:52 PM I have recently begun to have contempt for that class of people who create or market nothing, but base all or most of their financial well-being on trying to out-guess the variances of the stock market! They seem to be offended if all the OTHERS trying to do the same thing don't do so in a convenient way. Why SHOULD all these idiots moving numbers around be allowed to create problems for those of us who just try to earn a decent living by doing something? Why don't the go play high-stakes poker if they want to gamble, and insulate the results from more normal aspects of the market place? I have no problem with owning stock in a company....I merely object to this frantic juggling and minute-by-minute changing what one owns in order to get an unreasonable share of what OTHER people have produced. How about regulations about how much & how often stocks can be traded? |

Subject: RE: BS: Another finance quake.... From: SINSULL Date: 27 Sep 11 - 11:54 AM The Greek middle class is up in arms. Those EU loans depend on some serious tax increases. Even the tax collectors were protesting. A bit of a mess. |

Subject: RE: BS: Another finance quake.... From: Rapparee Date: 27 Sep 11 - 08:59 AM Skarpi, the EU has said that they will loan money to bail out Greece, etc. No, I think we'll be okay. We might have to cut back in some areas, but we should be okay. |

Subject: RE: BS: Another finance quake.... From: GUEST,999 Date: 27 Sep 11 - 01:15 AM It's bullshit. Fifty years ago, no one watched the 'stock market', and no one really cared. Today, we can see it minute by minute, and the only people who care are already rich. Like, so, wtf has this got to do with me? My 'money' is food, clothing, friends and art. Pffffffft to the rest. If the rich go broke, tough shit. In short words, fu#k the Dow Jones, Nasdaq, etc. |

Subject: RE: BS: Another finance quake.... From: JohnInKansas Date: 26 Sep 11 - 11:41 PM ??? - I haven't heard of a new crisis there. The first Finance News report I pulled up looks like everybody's a bunch of happy little elves. Can you give more info on what concerns you (other than that your news reporters are idiots like ours).
