Subject: RE: BS: Letter from Nottingham UK From: Big Al Whittle Date: 20 Oct 11 - 09:52 AM Wow America looks really nice. Much nicer without the homicide detectives that you see every night on telly. Having said that, I would have wanted to see the Biograph cinema in Chicago outside which Dillinger got shot. Thanks for letting us see the pictures. is Charley Noble on there? |

Subject: RE: BS: Letter from Nottingham UK From: Charley Noble Date: 17 Oct 11 - 07:33 AM Barrie- Pleased to hear you're back home, more or less together. Maybe we can auction off your old black jacket for a worthy cause. We certainly enjoyed your visit to Maine, and the excellent weather you brought with you.We hauled the boat out for the season last week and there was wind and rain, but not freezing up hard. Not like the 80 degree weather we had with you on the water the Sunday before. Cheerily, Charley Noble |

Subject: BS: Letter from Nottingham UK From: bradfordian Date: 17 Oct 11 - 06:17 AM I arrived home today, Monday 17th, from my 5 week mini-tour of North America at 10.30 am BST having had no sleep on the very full cramped 757-200 having endured the middle seat without any sleep, to a cool grey autumn day, with my special consignment in tact (not like my attempt to get four bottles of wine through security (well how was I to know I had to go through TWO lots of security!) I missed the British "Indian summer" which started the day after I departed and finished a couple of days before I returned, but there was compensation for there was plenty of sunshine emmanating from the hearts of all you Mudcatters I bumped into in Washington, Maine, New Hampshire and New Jersey, and I thank you all for the opportunity to see so many Mudcatters, some for the first time, some remaking acquanance, your hospitality is unbounded and much appreciated, thank you very much. I would love to return to the Getaway next year and see if I can surpass my "Old Woman" debut on stage. I just need to get hold of some jewel cases tp replace the ones I left behind in New Jersey, so regarding the THIS IS US CD sets, a little patience my British colleagues, please. Regards bradfordan (Barrie)----I couldn't make it to the town of Barrie, Ontario this time, maybe next time. PS Robin Hood and co. send their regards...................which reminds me.....You've heard of Robin Hoods Bay (near Whitby UK) well, I did get to Robin Hood in Maine with Charley Noble and Judy B, but I reckon the British Robin Hood would never have had such a fine lobster! |
