How sad

My kids loved them too JennieG ( JR)

Bears in the Night

In bed
Out of Bed
Down Stairs
Through the Door
Across the lawn
Around the Lake
Up    Spook    Hill

Whoooooo( the owl)

Down the Hill
Around the lake
Across the Lawn
Through the Door
Up the Stairs
In Bed

" Read it again dad"

My eldest daughter, who is now a University lecturer, never did realise that the Bears were teaching prepositions !

Great stuff

Oh the happy run-ups in a rocking chair to bed or nap-time my son and I spent reading Berenstein Bear stories. He didn't absolutely adore them, but often enjoyed them very much.

We enjoyed the Stan and Jan books, but I find the son's books have become religious preachy. Good thing my kids grew up before he got his hands on them.

The principal at my kids' elementary school had a whole set in the bookshelves in her office. I think she frequently found them useful when working with individual kids who were still young enough to not be incorrigible. :)

My sons loved them too.....they probably don't remember the books now, but they really enjoyed those stories when they were young.

Cheers

They're books created joy for generations of children. The Berenstein Bears were among my favourites.
