Subject: RE: BS: What do 'catters know about AVAAZ? From: ChanteyLass Date: 02 Mar 12 - 10:34 PM I have also signed their petitions. AS for their finances, I hope they use money wisely, but the only organizations I donate to are the ones I donated to before signing petitions online. |

Subject: RE: BS: What do 'catters know about AVAAZ? From: pdq Date: 02 Mar 12 - 08:21 PM It is a leftwing activist group with ties to MoveOn.org, George Soros and the regular gang of like-minded "progressives". The assortment of issues is nothing new. Standard faire for such groups. |

Subject: BS: What do 'catters know about AVAAZ? From: Crowhugger Date: 02 Mar 12 - 08:09 PM Have you heard of Avaaz.org? Today I got an e-mail inviting me to support a petition BEING circulated by this organization. The cause of the petition itself is, IMO, thoroughly worthy: deeper investigation of the Canadian election fraud around the May 2, 2011 federal election. Browsing the Avaaz website (AVAAZ.ORG) they do appear to be focused on very, very important issues. Yet they provide precious little information about who they really are, their finances, even whether and where they're incorporated. Do any of you folks know this organization? If this is a reputable bunch of people I'd love to know. Thanks! |
